Have you started you holiday shopping yet? More and more consumers are looking to online shopping as a means of getting the best deals and beating the crowds during the holiday season. Millions of purchases are made and billions of dollars are spent, so it is nice to be able to find a bargain when you can. Knock out all of your Christmas shopping online!

If you are an online shopper, consider these tips to stretch that dollar this holiday season:

Cash Back Sites - If you are an online shopper and do not shop via a cash back site, you are missing out! You can receive gift cards, cash, online credits and much more, all for making the normal purchases you would have anyway. Various online shopping websites pay these sites a commission to send traffic their way, so they are able to share some of that commission revenue with their shoppers. One of my favorites is Ebates. They offer cash back at over 1,200 online stores including Target, Macy's, Gap, Groupon, Drugstore.com, Walmart, The Children's Place and more. You can also take advantage of sales, use coupon codes and free shipping codes as you normally would. If you are going to buy from these stores anyway, why not get something in return?

Some other good cash back sites are Swagbucks, which actually lets you earn digital dollars by shopping, searching, taking surveys, watching videos and completing other special offers (they often give out free Swagbucks on Fridays), and My Points, where you earn points for shopping, booking travel, completing surveys, reading ad emails, playing games and more. Sign up for each program is free.

Black Friday - This is one of the most obvious, but I thought it was worth mentioning since not all shoppers know that there are a ton of Black Friday online shopping deals as well as in stores. Check out the ads from various retailers and see what deals they are offering. The 2010 Target Black Friday Ad (in store) has already been leaked, so you can bet that they will have similar deals online. Many sites offer free shipping with a minimum purchase, so you can potentially save a bundle.

Coupon Codes - Before you hit that check out button, do a quick search for a coupon code! I have been able to find one probably 7 out of 10 times, so I do think that it is worth the 3 second search to try. I always see various promotional codes for places like Sears, Kohls, Target, The Children's Place, Carter's, Amazon and more. Stacking a coupon code on top of a clearance item or holiday deal would definitely be a double whammy!

Impulsive Purchases - Try to curb your impulse buying vein by skipping it this season! There are always tons of great offers, so just buy what you really need and try not to take advantage of every single deal. If you hold off on your purchase for a few days and think about it, you may be able to make a more money concious decision than buying it right away. Also, when you hold out a little, prices tend to drop even more.

Plan Ahead - Have a budget and a tentative shopping list ready so that you know exactly what you are looking to buy. Also, be sure that you are aware of the stores online return and exchange policy and know the shipping and transit times to ensure that your holiday gifts arrive when you need them.

Deal of the Day Sites - There are a bunch of daily deal sites that offer an amazing product at a super low price every day. Competition is going to be strong amongst them, so it is to your benefit to take advantage and snag a great gift while it is insanely marked down. Some of my favorites: Groupon, Zulily, Gilt, Hautelook, and Roozt.

I am leaning more towards Christmas shopping online this year. I normally hit the stores, but at 7 months pregnant, I may not be up to it! It's deal scouring time, good luck this season!
